Our quest to restore both of our classic cars in time to drive them to Las Vegas for Viva Las Vegas car show continues… (Click here if you missed the last Update) Although Kristin choose and ordered her cam and other valvetrain parts for Studie, they didn’t arrive in time for weekend wrenching. Wah, wah, wah… that’s car show prep on a timeline for ya! So she’ll be rushing to get those in this coming weekend and crossing her fingers the transmission shop comes through in less than a week! She was left to continue helping Ethan with his much larger 1957 Ford restoration project. This past week saw the final cleaning finished on his firewall and bare front chassis. It seems that cleaning is always the longest part of any restoration! It’s now rust free, primered, and painted with a special chassis paint – all coming from Eastwood. The front suspension is also coming together, but all-in-all there’s still a long way to go in order to get to Viva! I am the editor of a newsletter for a Studebaker Club in Georgia. I was thinking about using some parts of your article, including images, in a future issue of our newsletter. Do I have your permission to do so? Thanks much. -Tim Taylor- Reply Kristin Cline April 12, 2016 Hi Tim, Would love to contribute that to your SDC newsletter! While I did some photoshop work on my images, the originals of course aren’t my property 😉 Happy Trails, Kristin Reply Comment & Join the Conversation! Cancel reply
