One day at a time progress⚡️only wish I’d re One day at a time progress⚡️only wish I’d recorded me shouting obscenities at this transmission after we’d gotten it out! Not because it was a difficult job, but because this transmission has been nothing. but. BAD. news. since I got it.

Stoked to be getting some good wrenching time in, and especially with pal Amy joining in! Garage work is always funner with friends!

What do you want me to share next???
Stunned to be back in the garage… and greasy⚡️Which is weird, since I’m #greasegirl. Finally giving Studie some love she sorely deserves to get her back on the road again♥️Working on some cooling gremlins, replacing the trans (again), rebuilding the rearend & a slew of other items on my list.

It’s crazy how much effort it’s taken me to get back to this - something I love doing. Thanks to pal Amy for joining me and let’s keep this train rolling! Leave an emoji if you think Studie needs to be seen more
🙋‍♀️🙋🙋‍♂️💯💃👯‍♀️🕺⚡️

Enough clues… here’s the car! Find out more in Enough clues… here’s the car! Find out more in my post.
I can’t hold it in any longer! My new car is a ‘53 Studebaker hardtop⚡️I’m so excited to share more about this car, but for this first day of 2024 I’ll just say a few things…

⚡️It was a crazy alignment of things that brought this across my path. And damn if life doesn’t have some tricks up it’s sleeve from time to time.

♥️The Studes in my world have reminded me of the connection & generosity of the car community. It’s such a beautiful thing and I’m so grateful. And to this Stude’s prior owner—thank you, THANK you for entrusting me with this one.

🔧My guts and my heart have been trying to communicate that I need to get back into the garage. It’s about so much more than just the car. This ‘53 coming along is one piece of a world that’s calling me forward. I’m ready to throttle on into these coming adventures!

I can’t wait to share more about what I’ll be up to! In the meantime, drop a ⚡️,♥️ or 🔧 if you can relate.

Not exaggerating my excitement over this early Chr Not exaggerating my excitement over this early Christmas gift of these @stoggles⚡️The perfect thing to help get me excited to tackle some big new garage projects! I don’t know about the rest of you ladies, but aside from how ugly cheap safety glasses are, they’re uncomfortable, slip down frequently and are hard to see out of. These new cateye safety glasses feel like they’re way more protective and of course look fab. Can’t wait to get some grease time with these!

Roadside stop to check out cotton plants⚡️Some Roadside stop to check out cotton plants⚡️Some of you may be super familiar with seeing this your whole life, but not having grown up in the south, I’ve never seen them up close in bloom. It’s pretty amazing how these fluffy little flowers just grow! Nature is pretty amazing when you stop to look at it more closely.
This trip was 💯💯💯! If you’ve ever wonde This trip was 💯💯💯! If you’ve ever wondered about getting away all alone… riding or not, DO IT!!! I love my people so much, but being alone gives space for reflection in a way I’ve only experienced when I set aside time to sit with myself.

If you want to adventure alone, keep these few things in mind:
1. Think about and plan for your safety, but don’t let fear rule your decisions.
2. Put your device down. Be still in your head.
3. If you’re new to this, start small with 24 hours.

For this trip I spent 2 1/2 days & rode ~850 miles from Fort Worth up to the Texas Panhandle for a couple nights camping underneath the full moon and with the free-roaming bison at @caprockcanyonsstatepark. Saturday I rode to Amarillo for the @hoodoomural fest and also visited American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame, plus of course grabbed a steak dinner at the Big Tex. The ride between Caprock and Amarillo, up the 207 through Claude was absolutely stunning (opening clip shows this).

I even surpassed the 10,000 mile on my Moto Guzzi⚡️but missed seeing it on the odometer. But super thankful for each of those miles in the past nearly-five years on my very first motorcycle.
From 7 lbs to 107, Minnie turns 1 today! She bring From 7 lbs to 107, Minnie turns 1 today! She brings so many smiles and warm fuzzies to our life. Grateful for this little pup.
John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens to John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” Another way to put it is that life means enjoying your motorcycle while you’re taking way too long to get your classic car project to the next stage.

I’ve been missing poor Studie as I plot out a major next phase for her - but I think I’m going to have to buckle down and fix the few things she needs to be out enjoying the roads. My Moto Guzzi is great, but Studie will always be my first love.

My little patch of earth this summer 💛 Everythi My little patch of earth this summer 💛 Everything grown from seed, which makes never-seen-before flowers even more exciting! The pink flower (Scabiosa) at the start is new to me and just bloomed.

Even in this crazy heat they’re doing okay👌🤞I love how gardening has taught me balance in doing and letting be.
